After lunch in Des Moines, Elizabeth and Mary took Mona and Bassem to the Department for the Blind in downtown Des Moines. They were hosted by Rebecca Swainey, Trinity UPC, who is a staff member in the department. They toured the facility and saw the wide range of adaptive technology used here. They were also invited to join a reception underway. All the food had been prepared by the residents in the program.
